Naomi has discovered that her cry is quite powerful in getting what she wants. She used to only cry when she's wet or hungry. Now, she also cries when she wants some type of action. To stand when you're sitting. To dance and sway when you're standing still. The nice thing is that it's not really crying. It's more like one loud "Hey! Listen to me!" She knows that if she has something to say that we will listen and answer her.
Tummy time is beginning to be lots of fun! She enjoys hanging out on her little whale pillow more than being flat on her belly. Mimi is getting very strong! She lifts her head a lot, but it's still quite wobbly. Does it count as rolling if she rolls over when she's on her whale?! She did it twice in a row last week and then again this morning? :) Naomi can only chill on her tummy though for about 5 minutes until she lets out her yelp, so we have tummy time several times a day. As you can see, tummy time is also fun for Mommy to watch:
One of the big things that I've noticed is that she loves being outside, preferably walking around. When we hop in the elevator to go downstairs, she'll let out a little yelp. Lately, we've been spending most of our time in the gardens in the courtyards which are visible from our studio patio. She likes to look at the trees and flowers, but with some type of motion. She wants to keep moving even when Mommy wants to stop and smell the roses! :) Then if she doesn't fall asleep on our outing, when we go home and get back in the elevator to go upstairs, she'll fuss again. I've learned to basically stay outdoors until she falls asleep so that she doesn't realize we're back in the house until she wakes up. Then it's time to change her diaper, eat and do it all over again!
